About Me

Do you think about things you need to get done AS you are singing your kids to sleep?

Do you forget why you went in any given room at any given time?

Do you carry around a notebook to write things down because you are sure you'll forget?

Are you not lonely when you are alone? ( thanks Kelly Clarkson!)

Do you wonder if you will ever get that " job done " feeling ever again?

Do you constantly worry about how your " isms"  will effect your kids?

Do you have idea for crafts that you have no idea how you will get done?

Do you have a new life threatening disease every time you check with "Dr. Google" when you are sick?

That's just a small taste of what my hubby puts up with everyday.

Hi, I'm Emily. I'm the woman in between the parenthesis.

I'm in my mid-thirties and I only feel that way about half the time. My husband J and I have two cute little monsters, K (4) and S (2). We also have a dog named, Louie. I have lived in the Saint Louis area my whole life. I know plenty of people that don't like living here but I do. I love the Midwest because we live in the city and  you can drive 30 minutes and be in the country.

Here are some more tidbits about me:
  • I'm painfully, awkwardly, introverted which means....  I probably won't talk for a while if we meet unless you tell me to. And when I finally do... It will be too much and  way awk-ward .
  • I try to be "Switzerland"  in most situations. I hate to argue, debate, or fight. It's wasting perfectly good energy on mostly stupid stuff.
  • I love the smell of lilacs, vanilla, my girls after a bath, freshly baked cookies, little puppies, fresh coffee and warm summer air.
  • I am cold all the time. I dress in layers year round. I'm not faking it either.  I wish I was warmer.
  • I believe chocolate is a food group, a meal, and a way of life.
  • I spend WWAAAAAYYYYY too much time online.
  • I love taking pictures. I take them everyday. Just ask my computer's hard drives, all 3 internal and the 3 backup externals.
  • I love organizing stuff.  Can I please come to your house? I don't judge.
  • I love the beach. It's my #1 place to vacation.
  • I have always wanted a horse and most people from grade school remember that about me. Just ask them.... And by the way...If you have one , I will muck a stall for the chance to just sit on your horse or take it's picture or feed it an apple.
  • I have lots of digestive issues that plague me everyday. So if you want to talk poop or tummy issues,  I'm the gal for you.

I can't wait to meet you and talk to you.  Come be a part of my tribe or as I like to call you "my peoples".
